In terms of the significant characters in his family who are part of the game's timeline, Scott Cawthon never sees his son, Nick Cawthon, in the present day in his thirties, and only sees him when he is a child.

However, Shadow Ignited Freddy is a demonic hallucination caused by mental weakness, of which Scott Cawthon doesn't have in the game due to being an adult and Nick Cawthon, the one most likely to still experience Shadow Ignited Freddy, at the time being a child.

Scott Cawthon also never sees Shadow Ignited Freddy.

Though they may not be physically seen by Scott Cawthon, they are still heard of running from the left and right doors.Due to their manner of appearance and the manner of completing the final memory the quickest, the only two characters Scott Cawthon never sees in the canon timeline of The Joy of Creation: Story Mode are Endo R 'Blue' and Endo F 'Red'.

Scott Cawthon's levels are two of three of the only levels where every character can kill the player and end their run (including Ignited Freddy if not flashed 11 times, excluding Ignited Golden Freddy prior to Attic), the other being Basement, Michael's level.These two levels are also the only levels where the player has to confront a Freddy archetype more than ten times total in order to survive.Scott Cawthon's levels are the only two levels where the player has to flash a character, specifically Freddy Fazbear in the form of Ignited Freddy and Ignited Golden Freddy, with a light source to successfully complete the memory.Scott Cawthon is the only character in The Joy of Creation: Story Mode that the player controls in more than one memory.During the opening cutscene for the game and Basement level as well as the Attic cutscene, he is shown wearing a monochrome tuxedo. After beating the Attic, Michael grants Scott's final wish. In the Attic he defends against Creation, The Fallen and Ignited Golden Freddy. Scott angrily forces his chains breaking them, and throws out the device Michael was using to communicate with him. Michael brings Scott to the Attic and chains him there to prevent him from defending himself from Creation and the Fallen. He tries to ask the monitors on the basement who they are before being knocked out by Michael.

Where he finds a note written by his children, the note says that ' the monsters were mean to mommy' and that he needs to use the flashlight to defend himself.ДЄfter hearing voice messages left by himself (presumably a version of himself that was stuck in a loop) he manages to defeat the Ignited and escape the office, after that he heads to the basement to learn what was going on. After running through many hallways, Scott enters the Office. He quickly dodges and begins to escape from Ignited Freddy. After regaining his senses, Ignited Freddy comes from a door and tries to attack him. But Scott decides to go check on his son, Nick, but gets startled when he realizes that Nick's room is a black void and his entire house has been transformed, meaning the events of the Bedroom memory were occurring at the same time as the Living Room and Office memories. After talking and learning Michael's name, they let him stay in one of their rooms for the night.ДЄfter leaving Michael, Scott and his wife plan to stay in the living room the night to make sure that he doesn't hurt their children. Scott and his family find a man named Michael, who is inside their house. The player controls him in the Office and Attic memories. He is the creator of the game franchise, Five Nights at Freddy's, and is the central target of Michael and The Ignited. Scott Cawthon is the deuteragonist of The Joy of Creation: Story Mode, and the father of Nick Cawthon. Scott talking to the monitor to communicate with the characters haunting him and his family during the second opening Basement cutscene. 'I created you Freddy, Bonnie, Chica! Foxy.?!
